What Are Botulinum Toxin Injections?
Botulinum toxin injections are a temporary solution for treating and preventing wrinkles. This procedure is the most extensively studied aesthetic treatment and the world's #1 selling aesthetic treatment.
How Does It Work?
Your dentist will administer tiny botulinum toxin injections directly into the muscles that cause moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. Discomfort is very minimal and brief. Injecting botulinum toxin into the muscles that cause wrinkles temporarily reduces the activity of those muscles. The result is a reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The entire treatment takes approximately 10 minutes.
How Long Will Results Last?
You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, lasting up to 4 months. Botulinum toxin injections are often used in conjunction with dermal fillers to enhance results further.
What Are Dermal Fillers?

How Long Will Dermal Fillers Last?
In facial applications, dermal fillers will provide a correction that lasts around one to two years depending on the type of filler. Individual results may vary, affected by age, metabolism, skin type, lifestyle and muscle activity.
Migraine, Headaches, Facial Pain, & TMD Therapy
Botulinum toxin injections have proven to effectively relieve pain with TMD, reduce bruxism, and reduce or even eliminate tension-type migraines. In February 2011, the FDA approved botulinum toxin for chronic migraine and facial pain as a primary treatment. This highly purified protein has proven to be adequate pain relief from muscle sources.
