Inman aligners
Inman aligners.
A short-course removable appliance for the front teeth: useful when minor crowding or relapse is the only thing standing between a patient and a finished cosmetic result.

Why an Inman aligner
The Inman aligner is a short-course tool. Where the only thing standing between a patient and a finished cosmetic result is a small amount of crowding or rotation in the front teeth, it offers a quicker, more focused path than full-arch aligner therapy.
It is most useful in two scenarios. The first is post-orthodontic relapse: patients who wore braces years ago, never fully wore retainers, and have slowly drifted back into mild crowding. The second is patients considering veneers who would benefit from a small correction first, so the veneers can be more conservative.
What to expect
Treatment begins with a consultation, scan, and a clear assessment of whether the case is suited to short-course orthodontics. Not every case is, and Dr. Lina is candid when full Invisalign or a different approach would deliver a better result.
If the Inman aligner is the right tool, a custom appliance is fabricated. Patients wear it sixteen to twenty hours per day, removing it only for meals and brushing. Brief check-in appointments confirm progress along the way.
When active treatment is complete, retention is essential: usually a clear retainer worn at night to hold the new position.
When the Inman aligner is a good fit
The Inman aligner is appropriate for mild crowding or rotation of the front teeth in adult patients with otherwise healthy bites. It is not appropriate for significant crowding, posterior tooth movement, or cases where the bite itself needs adjustment.
When it fits the case, it can save months of treatment time and unlock a cleaner cosmetic result downstream.

Questions
Frequently asked.
How is this different from Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of clear aligner trays to move teeth across the entire arch. The Inman aligner is a single removable appliance focused on the front teeth, intended for short-course corrections: typically a matter of weeks rather than months.
How long does treatment take?
Most Inman aligner cases run between six and sixteen weeks. The exact duration depends on how much movement is needed and how consistently the appliance is worn.
Is the appliance noticeable?
The Inman aligner has a visible thin metal bar across the inside and outside of the front teeth. It is removable, so it can be taken out for important moments, but it is more visible than Invisalign during wear.
