Smile makeover

A full re-design of the smile.

A smile makeover is a coordinated plan (the right combination of veneers, alignment, whitening, and gum work) designed to deliver a cohesive, long-term result.

Why a smile makeover

A smile makeover is the right answer when no single procedure addresses the full picture. Veneers improve the front surface of the teeth; whitening shifts the color; alignment changes the position; gum work refines the frame. Each is a distinct treatment with its own indications.

A makeover adds coordination. Sequencing the work correctly, with a single dentist holding the design in her head, produces a result that reads as one considered smile rather than a collection of procedures.

How the plan is built

The first appointment is a long conversation. Dr. Lina asks what you’d like to change and, equally important, what you’d like to keep. Photographs are taken from multiple angles, scans are made, and a digital preview is used to draft proposed changes before any work begins.

From there, Dr. Lina builds a sequenced plan. Alignment work comes first when needed, because veneers placed before alignment is corrected don’t sit right. Whitening of natural teeth follows, so veneer color is matched to the final shade. Veneers are placed when the foundation is set, and gum work or beauty injections are sequenced around the rest of the plan.

What the result looks like

A well-executed smile makeover is unmistakable, and at the same time, hard to point to. The teeth are even and proportionate, the color is right for your skin, the gum line is clean, and the composition reads as your own face. Friends notice that you look well; few can say exactly why.

That is the standard the work is held to here.

When a smile makeover is a good fit

A makeover suits patients with multiple cosmetic concerns to address together, a foundation healthy enough to support the work, and the willingness to commit to a multi-month plan. It is not a quick fix.

The patients who do best arrive having thought carefully about what they want, and trust the process of refining that vision through conversation and design.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What’s included in a smile makeover?

Every plan is different. A makeover may combine veneers, whitening, gum recontouring, alignment work, and beauty injections, whichever pieces are needed to deliver the result. Dr. Lina builds the plan after a thorough consultation and exam.

How long does it take?

A typical smile makeover unfolds over two to four months, depending on which procedures are involved and the order of operations. Cases that include alignment work run longer.

Is it reversible?

Most makeovers involve some degree of irreversible preparation: a small amount of enamel reshaping for veneers, for example. Dr. Lina is explicit about what is reversible and what isn’t before any treatment begins.

How much does a smile makeover cost?

Cost depends entirely on the scope of work: the number of veneers, whether alignment or gum work is involved, and the materials chosen. A written estimate is provided after consultation.

Will it still look like me?

That is the goal. The makeover is designed around your face, your features, and the version of your smile you want to live with for the long term, not a template applied uniformly.
